I Came Back Smelling Like a Campfire

I truly got everything I needed for my weekend get-a-way. Almost, anyways. The instant feeling of being in one of my “home away from home” setting started the trip off right. Last year I had gone RV camping, which was setting a tent right outside an RV, while hanging inside the RV watching movies or playing video games. Not real camping. This was sitting by the campfire, no electricity, flashlights guiding your path kind of camping.

I put a handful of the pictures I took into a PB folder so people could see. I would stick them on here, but they would eat up my space limit WAY too fast. I took more but I F’d up the settings for a handful and they came out wrong. Also, it rained most of the second day I was there, so that took away a lot of time. I didn’t even get to go swimming, bummer.

Speaking of bummer, I keep my PB account private for a few reasons, and I can’t make any albums public unless I make the whole thing public. I still don’t want to add in a handful of huge pictures, so I am going to add the direct links to each photo I have up. I know this isn’t the ideal way to do things, but you don’t have to click on all the links if you don’t want to.

I will let this soak in, and see what ideas I get from it for a new painting. I know I’ll at least get one…eventually. If ideas were only able to happen when you wanted (I just thought about that concept for a few minutes and it seems like you can write a book on the subject alone). So yes, I will broadcast whenever a lightning bolt of genius hits me and I find a new concept to tackle.
